About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aide to join our team in Ypsilanti, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Requirements
- Previous experience in direct care or a similar caregiving role is a plus, but NOT Required
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with basic health monitoring
- Support clients with mobility and transferring safely
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
- Document and report changes in client condition to supervisors
