What you will do: Lead the design, build, and modernization of global rental systems supporting multi-brand, multi-country, and franchise operations Own the future-state architecture for rental platforms, ensuring scalability, configurability, and regulatory compliance across regions Collaborate with cross functional leaders on your product teams (product management, design) to develop and execute backlogs & roadmaps Remain hands-on through architecture reviews, technical design, and selective pairing with senior engineers Build and lead high-performing global engineering teams (onshore, nearshore, offshore) Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent; drive career paths, rotations, and learning plans Establish and evolve engineering standards: cloud-native patterns, APIs, event-driven systems, resiliency, and observability Drive a culture of ownership, quality, speed, and empathy Ensure platforms are secure, compliant, highly available, and operationally excellent Collaborate with enterprise architecture and platform teams to align on shared services and technology strategy Stay current with new technology trends in the platform, AI, streaming and IoT space Ensure high quality, consistent, easy to use and compliance software solutions What We're Looking For: 10-15 years of Software Engineering experience designing and implementing solutions using cloud native technologies and Agile methodologies Demonstrated success with modern development practices including RESTful API & microservice development, AWS, containerization techniques (such as DEE and Kubernetes) NoSQL, build systems (Maven, Gradle) and version control (Git).
