About The Position

As Director Product Management, you will be responsible for the profitable life cycle management of the Lincoln product lines from conceptualization through implementation of product decisions on a global basis. This is a working manager role, global in scope, with responsibility for New Product Development (NPD), Product Certification, Product Cost Management, and Product Quality. Reporting directly to the President of Lincoln Foodservice, this position is based in Shreveport, La.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Advanced Degree a Plus in Product Management, Marketing, Business, Engineering, or Technical Marketing, product management with increasing responsibility; durable capital goods preferred; sales through 1or 2 global distribution channels.
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Product management and marketing skills
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills at all levels
  • Ability to manage deadlines and complexity and to think and problem solve analytically and creatively
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and presentation skills
  • Teamwork orientation; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Leadership, collaboration, negotiating skills and strategy development
  • Business acumen and financial experience in modeling and business case development
  • Working knowledge of computer software; demonstrated competence with spreadsheets, database applications, and presentations
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by company policy for the job being performed.
  • Must be able to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Product Portfolio, Product Roadmap, NPD Projects, and Compliance to meet our customers' expectations globally
  • Manage product cost to support price positioning and profitability targets
  • Monitor product quality to drive warranty and out-of-box quality improvements
  • Owns Lincoln Foodservice product life cycle management and NPD initiatives, including current products, new products, product refreshes, and logical line extensions.
  • Performs ongoing competitive analysis.
  • Identifies gaps in the global product range for future NPI consideration.
  • Collects and distributes global customer satisfaction, including performance expectations, out-of-box quality, product reliability, and after-market service performance, with an eye on driving improvement.
  • Manages product costs to support product price positioning and target margins.
  • Assesses end-user needs, evaluates and reports on market potential for new, redesigned, or existing products to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Manages and maintains global compliance for products and facilities
  • Supports the Marketing Team in the development of materials required to successfully launch new products and support sales teams in all global markets, including equipping Total Life Cost business case development.
  • Provides clear direction and management to the Engineering and Quality Teams.
  • Develops metrics to report on Engineering effectiveness and Product Quality
