About The Position
The Director of Material Acquisitions/Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) is responsible for leading all enterprise procurement efforts at HII's Ingalls Shipbuilding division. This role involves maximizing the value received from suppliers, overseeing centralized sourcing and procurement, and ensuring material availability while meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule priorities. The CPO will work closely with functional units and senior enterprise leaders to align procurement strategies with organizational goals and to foster a world-class center of excellence in procurement.
