About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is looking for a Director PMO, primarily located on Bridgewater, NJ, with consideration of other J&J offices. This is a duration based role with an expected end date of December 31st, 2027. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. This is a Director of Program Management role that will lead the MAKE workstream for the separation of the DePuy Synthes business from JNJMedTech. The role is a 2 year, duration based assignment which will require ~25% travel between the US, Costa Rica, Mexico and China. The position can be located at any JNJ US-Based facility. Responsible for planning, organizing and controlling resources, procedures and timing for the MAKE Supply Chain separation activities, using general business knowledge. Organizes project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and determines resource requirements. Monitors and reports on the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing. Ensures adherence to internal and external quality standards (e.g., International Standards Organization). Identifies/resolves obstacles to completing project on time and to budget. May include work managing multiple, interrelated workstreams; on some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables. May advise on scope changes, QA and other more technical aspects of the project if the incumbent has technical knowledge in the specific area. Experience in divestitures and acquisitions preferred with specific expertise in standing up and executing Transition Manufacturing Agreements and Transition Service Agreements. Manages the strategic planning and the tactical execution in the design and delivery of project and program management policies and practices. Applies project management skills, tools, and techniques to manage the project and program scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risk. Serves as primary contact for workstream and team queries and concerns. Formulates policies and practices aimed at optimizing current project management plans and continuously improving processes. Inspects existing project management tools and processes, and proposes and implements improvements. Guides team members during day-to-day project management activities. Acts independently to prepare budgets, determine timelines, and identify resources for assigned projects. Advises senior management of timeline delays and supplier/vendor issues, and works to develop a corrective course of action. Serves as a subject matter expert in the program management field and provides insight for departmental improvements. Guides other colleagues through consultation, mentoring, and collaborative leadership to build depth of capability, and provides functional (matrix) supervision. Proactively creates a purpose-driven environment by aligning Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required, specializing in Engineering.
  • Travel of 10% to 25% may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management certification is preferred.
