About The Position
The Senior Director of Health System Revenue Cycle will be responsible for the daily operations and oversight of various activities at Huntsville Hospital Health System and its affiliates. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including bad debt assessment and collection, credit balance review, refund assessment and processing, customer service and correspondence resolution, and management of the patient accounting department. Additionally, the position involves bankruptcy scrubs, outsourced operational management including self-pay collections, collection agency, and refund processing, as well as insurance billing and follow-up, payment and contractual posting, denials and appeals management, and ensuring regulatory and payer compliance of collection standards. The Senior Director will also be tasked with updating and applying accurate policies and procedures related to these functions. This role includes direct management of exempt level Revenue Cycle department directors and managers, along with other business office staff. The Senior Director will work closely with the Executive Director of Hospital Revenue Cycle to set long-term and short-term goals, monitor progress, and ensure efficient operations by effectively utilizing all staff and technology resources.
