About The Position

The Director of Information Systems is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for high-level strategic planning and management of the organization's information systems. This role sets the strategic direction for IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring they align with business goals. The Director oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and security. Working closely with executives, the Director ensures IT initiatives support the company's overall strategy, manages large to medium-scale IT projects, and leads teams across various IT disciplines, including network operations, software development, security systems, platforms support, and data management. Additionally, the Director ensures regulatory compliance, manages vendor relationships, and drives digital innovation to maintain optimal stability and data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports the hospital's mission, vision, and values as well as departmental goals to all staff.
• Defines performance objectives and metrics for the department.
• Demonstrates fiscal accountability for department resources and the ability to achieve outcomes within allocated resources.
• Collaborates with other departments to problem solve ongoing issues that impact department/organization goals and/or patient care delivery.
• Incorporates quality improvement data and/or patient satisfaction data into departmental goals.
• Responsible for system management and coordination for the hospital Information system on an ongoing basis.
• Prepares Information Systems annual budget and plans Information Systems Capital budget.
• Performs systems analysis and problem solving as needed.
• Evaluates and assesses hospital information system needs.
• Maintains supports for report writing functions.
• Provides periodic training classes for end users in applications as needed.
• Ensures data security, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across the organization.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
