As the Director of Imaging at North Okaloosa Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients. The Director of Imaging is responsible for overseeing all imaging services within the facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services, facilitates the implementation of best practices, and adheres to industry standards and regulations. The Director will collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care, manage the imaging department's budget, and lead a team of imaging professionals to achieve departmental goals. Key responsibilities include developing strategic plans for imaging services, continuously improving operational efficiency, and maintaining state-of-the-art imaging technology.

  • Directs and manages daily operations of all Imaging areas.
  • Communicates effectively with peers, staff, physicians, leaders, and administration.
  • Maintains a clean, neat and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Demonstrates accurate knowledge and skill in radiologic programs and techniques.
  • Ensures and monitors department operations to meet accreditation criteria and standards.
  • Monitors the status of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensures compliance of all radiology equipment with state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensures supplies and equipment for patient care are readily available and organized.
  • Uses equipment safely, adhering to hospital and department protocols.
  • Assumes responsibility for staffing the departments and maintains productivity.
  • Demonstrates fiscal accountability for department resources.
  • Responds to patient and family requests promptly.
  • Initiates, plans and provides for education and competence assessment regarding patient care.
  • Effectively role models professional leadership behavior.
  • Demonstrates creativity and discretion in planning and coordinating department functions.
  • Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific software.
  • Professionally communicates and supports the hospital's mission and values.
  • Collaborates with other departments to problem solve ongoing issues.
  • Gathers data and participates in the departments' quality assurance and improvement plan.
  • Maintains working knowledge of chargemaster and ensures accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist as required by state required.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
