About The Position

We are looking for looking for a dynamic Director of Human Resources to join our team. At Arbour Hospital, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high-quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the residents of the greater Boston area since 1909. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment. The HR Director position is an integral part of the leadership team reporting directly to the CEO. The position leads the delivery of workforce strategies and drives the effective implementation of key HR programs, policies, and practices. The HR Director works in close contact with other business leaders as a business partner to drive recruitment, employee relations, coaching, performance management, employee engagement, as well as all other functional HR areas. The ideal candidate will bring sound management experience and solid HR practices managing all functional areas of human resources. The HR Director plays a key role in helping to build a dynamic employee culture where employees are engaged and find long-term career success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in human resources.
  • Three years’ HR management experience.
  • Two years’ of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Willingness to ensure the day-to-day HR operations are fully compliant and sound.
  • Ability to function at a strategic level.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other business leaders as a business partner to drive recruitment, employee relations, coaching, performance management, and employee engagement.
