About The Position

The Market Director provides HR leadership, direction, and technical expertise in a variety of HR areas including but not limited to HR strategy, talent acquisition process, employee retention, organizational change, employee relations, regulatory compliance, compensation, wage and hour, etc. This role provides HR coverage for the C-Suite employees located within assigned BH Facility(s) and functions as an HR generalist overseeing key organizational processes. Responsibilities include the development and interpretation of HR policies and Employee Handbooks, partnering with the Company labor relations department, assisting with Corporate Legal on external complaints (e.g., EEOC, State Civil Rights, OSHA, and NLRB position statements), trending employee relations data, and developing and presenting HR competency training programs. The Market Director will conduct regular site visits, HRD orientation, and other training programs, while providing regular support to the Division Director, Human Resources - Behavioral Health and Corporate Human Resources with special project assignments. The Market Director is assigned to a select market, typically comprising 45-50 Behavioral Health facilities and their leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field from a fully accredited college/university.
  • Master's degree from a fully accredited college/university is highly preferred.
  • Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of professional HR experience, preferably in an acute or behavioral healthcare setting.
  • 2 to 3 years prior work experience in an HR management capacity.
  • HR consulting experience with multi-site and multi-state locations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with the field.
  • Experience managing high volume full cycle recruitment process.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Knowledge of labor relations and union avoidance tactics.
  • Resourceful and flexible to meet changing business needs.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive employee information as confidential.
  • General knowledge of compensation practices and federal/state wage and hour laws.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Lawson, HR Smart, RAS reporting).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
