About The Position

The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) functions under the direction and in support of the Chief Nursing Officer in providing leadership, planning, direction, coordination, and operations for the departments assigned and for nursing practices and processes. The ACNO supports nursing and patient care to ensure that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Corona Regional Medical Center and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The ACNO supports and collaborates and coordinates nursing standard processes to ensure quality care is delivered and program growth is accomplished in a cost effective way. The ACNO participates with the CNO in the development of the nursing strategic plan and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives by leading teams to drive successful outcomes. The ACNO supports the vision for nursing services from both corporate and local perspective and functions as a change agent to improve and promote quality care and improve outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of clinical experience in Cardiac Services required.
  • Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in a Cardiology Department/Cath Lab required, acute care experience preferred.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, or California Radiology Technologist (CRT) along with Fluoro license required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to work with statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
  • acute care experience preferred.
