Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, nursing, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in behavioral health/mental health or related healthcare field in a residential treatment care setting for children and/or adolescents desirable.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of TJC standards, patient rights standards, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Directs process of fielding incoming calls to the hospital as well as coordination of processes for receiving referrals and admissions from various agencies.
  • Responsible for problem-solving with clinical staff, funding sources, and referral sources to oversee and facilitate each admission.
  • Responsible for assuring all inquiries, referrals, and admissions are documented and recorded.
  • Works closely with Utilization Review in verifying insurance benefits for admits.
  • Responsible for assisting with statistical data regarding referrals and admissions for projections and the identification of trends and/or opportunities for improvement.
  • Serves as a member of the Leadership Team of the facility.
  • Collaborates with colleagues in coordinating processes and procedures.
