4th shift Dip Operator Title: Dip Operator Status: Hourly Shift: 5th, 6pm - 6am Reports To: Reports directly to Ceramic Area Manager. Location: Mentor/Painesville Positions Available: 1 Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience. Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors. Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus. Must have experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc. Responsibility: Perform all aspects of running the robotic shell building system, including accessing of the computer system to verify correct equipment operation and perform all aspects of the hand dipping system. Skills: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability & strong attendance. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors. Specific Duties: Handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy. Generate and analyze system reports. Identify molds, dip and sand, place molds in dehumidification room recording part number, time and quantity in log. Wash wax clusters and place on conveyor lines after inspection. Perform ceramic slurry testing as required. Mix ceramic slurries from supplied formula, clean sand beds and slurry tanks, maintain adequate supply levels. Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standards. Record all work performed, proper utilizing of operational codes and correct current work time. Keep work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors. Perform additional duties as designated by the supervisor. Scheduling and excel experience are a bonus Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
