Dining Services Supervisor Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is seeking a dedicated and service‑focused leader to join our Dining Services team. As our next Dining Services Supervisor, you will help ensure exceptional meal experiences for residents and guests while supporting CKV’s mission, vision, and values in a welcoming, team‑oriented environment grounded in Christian principles. This opening is for a full-time salaried position. The ability to have a flexible schedule is needed in this role, with the availability to work day, evening and weekend hours. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in food service preferred.
  • Must have strong leadership and management skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Must be adept in using technology and proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft products, POS systems, timekeeping/scheduling systems and other relevant software.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the daily operation of the Campus Inn Dining Room & Café during meal service times.
  • Responsible for all management and data entry of internal technology (POS, Scheduling, etc.), supporting the dining venues.
  • Responsible for programming of digital menu system and POS system reflecting daily updates, marketing and proper pricing, for all front-facing materials.
  • Providing set-up support & supervision for special functions in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
  • Creating and maintaining staffing schedules to ensure staffing requirements are met on a daily basis and within budgeted parameters.
  • Assigning wait staff to designated sections and all staff to appropriate side work.
  • Overseeing the team to ensure they are performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Responsible for reservation capture and plotting.
  • Responsible for on-line, delivery and take-out ordering logistics.
  • Ensuring smooth and timely opening of the Campus Inn Dining Room, including the facilitation of the pre-service daily meeting.
  • Preparing and providing bi-weekly Server Training sessions to service staff.
  • Actively assisting wait staff and Café team through regular rounding, which includes filling shifts and working on the floor.
  • Greeting and seating residents and guests in tandem with the Campus Inn Host position.
  • Inspecting side work and closing dining room.
  • Employing appropriate loss prevention procedures.
  • Ensuring appropriate resident charge procedures.
  • Performing daily cash reconciliation at close of dining room and Cafe.
  • Ensuring consistently high quality customer service in the Dining Room.
  • In consultation with the Operations Manager, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff performance.
  • Striving to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices.
