This is leadership with meaning. And it might be your next step. As the Director of Dining Services, you will be responsible for all aspects of an efficient and high-quality dining operation. Your commitment to delivering the highest quality food, service, product standards, sanitation, and safety will ensure that every resident's dining experience is extraordinary, every time. Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE). Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates You’ll guide the culinary and hospitality team—setting the tone for dining experiences that support wellness, joy, and connection throughout the community.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma (required)
  • At least three years of leadership experience in dining or culinary operations
  • Proven success in managing budgets, costs, and operational systems
  • Strong skills in coaching, communication, and team motivation
  • Working knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Food Handler’s Permit + state alcohol certification (or willingness to obtain them)
  • A passion for supporting older adults with dignity, warmth, and excellence

Nice To Haves

  • A culinary or hospitality certificate/degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead both kitchen operations and front-of-house dining with clarity, consistency, and heart
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance across the entire dining department
  • Build a strong, collaborative team culture rooted in professionalism, respect, and Purpose
  • Oversee budgets, food and labor cost controls, and P&L performance
  • Partner with the Executive Chef to design menus that balance nutrition, creativity, and resident preferences
  • Supervise purchasing, inventory, and safe storage practices
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Be a visible, approachable leader—building relationships with residents, guests, and team members
  • Support special events, themed dinners, celebrations, and catering efforts
  • Maintain food-safety documentation, logs, and consistent labeling practices
  • Join daily leadership meetings and contribute to community-wide operations and planning
