About The Position

The Dining Service Director (DSD) at Brickmont at John's Creek is responsible for managing all aspects of the dining services department, ensuring that residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This is a salaried position that requires a hands-on approach and strong leadership skills. The DSD will oversee a team of dining service staff and work closely with other departments to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a food service setting, preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment
Proven track record of excellent customer service and effective team leadership
Knowledge of nutritional guidelines for seniors and special dietary needs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within first 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

Develop and implement menus that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences
Monitor and maintain inventory of food and supplies, following budget guidelines
Train, schedule, and supervise dining service staff to ensure efficient and professional service
Maintain clean and sanitary dining areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Work closely with the Activities Director to plan and coordinate special events and themed meals
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to address any concerns or suggestions
Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the dining experience for residents
Monitor and track resident satisfaction and address any issues promptly
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to food service and sanitation
