The #1 Priority of this position is… To assist the Dining Room Manager in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent (GED).
• At least two (2) years of experience in supervising dining room staff and food service.
• Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish preferred.
• Responsible, always on time, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented.
• Flexible as to work schedule.
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Strong Leadership skills.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
• Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and prepare daily schedule for the waiters and waitresses.
• Manage breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
• Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
• Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
• Ability to promote and execute our culture of “Yes”.
