About The Position
Touchmark on West Century is seeking caring, outgoing individuals to join their Dining Services team as Servers. This role involves enriching the lives of Touchmark residents and guests by creating a friendly and inviting dining experience. The position is suitable for those seeking their first job, looking for extra hours, or wanting to utilize their serving skills in Bismarck/Mandan’s leading full-service retirement community. Servers will build relationships and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Experience is required
- Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers
- Be willing to work occasional weekends and holidays
- Be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages, and stay on your feet for long periods of time
- Be able to read, write, and speak English
- Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
Responsibilities
- Greeting residents by name
- Taking meal orders and answering questions about the menu
- Serving meals and beverages
- Ensuring that the dining room is clean, attractive, and operating smoothly
- Serving during special events and catered functions that take place at our community
