About The Position

The Glenview at Pelican Bay is a premier continuing care retirement community located in beautiful, sunny Naples, Florida. We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Dining Room Manager. Candidates must have a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality. We currently have the following shifts available: Full-time The Dining Room Manager at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for creating a warm, friendly and unique fine dining experience with our focus on giving our guests excellent service and satisfaction through a well-trained efficient team. The Dining Room Manager will assist our clients with services including but not limited to:

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous restaurant experience required
  • Many roles in the community require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu and COVID-19 vaccine status.

Nice To Haves

  • experience in a management position in the food and beverage industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Dining Room/Lounge services
  • Interview, hire, train and schedule all Dining Room personnel.
  • Address all resident concerns regarding problems in the Dining Room with Food and Beverage Director and Back of House and accommodate them accordingly.
  • Ensure residents are seated and served as soon as possible after they arrive in the Dining Room.
  • Maintain a constant presence in the Dining Room to ensure proper service occurs and cater to residents needs and special dietary restrictions.
  • Taking care of residents catering needs, dinner reservation and booking of private dining room and lounge.
  • Oversees opening and closing of Dining Room and Lounge and conducts daily lineup meetings with staff.
  • Responsible for all hiring paperwork, evaluations, terminations, performance and compensation reviews for all Dining Room staff.
  • Training of all dining room and lounge personnel.
  • Implement disciplinary and termination procedures in compliance with Employee Services policies.
  • Conduct monthly liquor inventory for Accounting.
