About The Position

As a Dining Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued as soon as they enter the club. You will manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries while maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of service. Your role is crucial in setting the tone for the dining experience, making sure members and guests have a positive and memorable visit.

Requirements

  • Good organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively articulate ideas, information, and instructions in both individual and group settings.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality service by understanding and addressing customer needs, ensuring satisfaction and fostering positive relationships.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving conflicts through effective negotiation, mediation, and problem-solving techniques, leading to mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Consistently maintains a professional demeanor, upholds ethical standards, and adheres to organizational protocols in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Previous fine dining and/or banquet experience.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet Guests: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Manage Reservations: Handle phone and online reservations, update the reservation system, and manage the seating plan efficiently.
  • Escort Guests: Guide guests to their tables, present menus, and explain any special promotions or daily specials.
  • Answer Inquiries: Respond to guest inquiries about the menu, restaurants, and services, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Coordinate Seating: Monitor the dining area to ensure tables are turned over efficiently and guests are seated promptly.
  • Communicate with Staff: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate smooth service and address any issues.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the entrance, waiting area, and host station are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Address Concerns: Resolve guest complaints or concerns, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring the dining area is compliant with all relevant standards.
