The Department of Food Services has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Dining-Room Attendant (U) position. This role provides support to the food service activities of assigned facilities and assists in the preparation and distribution of food items, while maintaining the cafeteria in a safe and sanitary condition. Cleans tables and dishes and sets tables. Replenishes the supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes. Prepares salads, sauces, desserts, and other food items. Operates cash register to compute bills. Modifies and issues receipts to customers. Washes pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment. Stocks snack machines, soda machines, and other retail items. Maintains work and storage area clean and organized. Learns and follows food preparation guidelines. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
