About The Position

The Dining Manager at BJ's Restaurants is responsible for overseeing all functions of the restaurant during various shifts, ensuring a Gold Standard guest experience while managing team members. This role emphasizes operational execution, food and beverage quality, and team member relations, all within a fast-paced environment that values integrity and exceptional service.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years restaurant management experience or current Emerging Leader for BJ's Restaurants.
  • High personal integrity, professionalism, and maturity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid relationship management and performance management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and direct team members effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional guest service orientation.
  • Ability to stand and walk around a restaurant for 8-10 hours.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and raise arms above head occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all functions of the restaurant during opening, mid, or closing shifts.
  • Hire, manage, supervise, and train restaurant team members.
  • Ensure a Gold Standard guest experience.
  • Conduct daily briefings on matters of importance to the team.
  • Manage repair and maintenance issues.
  • Oversee the Restaurant Risk Review audit process and implement necessary changes.
  • Manage local restaurant marketing and community involvement.
  • Facilitate and participate in the Continued Education Program.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and laws.
  • Make recommendations concerning development, promotion, and disciplinary actions affecting team members.
  • Cooperate with Team Member Relations Department in investigations.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality and execution.
  • Conduct Quarterly Food Reviews and prepare orders of food and beverages.
  • Conduct weekly inventories to assess stock levels and ordering patterns.
  • Coach, mentor, and discipline hourly team members.
  • Train and develop team members to provide Gold Standard service.
