About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily activities of dining service units.
  • Monitor staff performance and compliance with timetables.
  • Ensure quality of products and services meets established standards.
  • Inspect sanitation and food handling practices for compliance with health codes.
  • Report safety and equipment issues to the General Manager.
  • Monitor standards and recommend changes for improvement.
  • Supervise staff fairly and maintain productivity through observation.
  • Adjust daily schedules to meet customer service needs.
  • Coordinate staff work to promote operational efficiency.
  • Recommend staff promotions, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Train staff in necessary functions and facilitate orientation for new employees.
  • Monitor employee attendance and report to management.
  • Ensure efficient customer service at all locations.
  • Analyze customer purchases to establish trends and make recommendations.
  • Assure accuracy of unit inventories and follow requisition procedures.
  • Ensure cost-efficient use of supplies within company guidelines.
  • Report menu changes and cost irregularities to the District Dining Director.
  • Meet with staff to address operational challenges and build teamwork.
  • Communicate with company management regarding operational needs.
  • Collaborate with co-managers and other department managers professionally.
  • Complete required financial and operational reporting as scheduled.
