About The Position

The Dining Coordinator is responsible for execution of service, quality control, and overall experience in the Dining Hall. This position is connected to the faith and mission of the camp and moving forward the mission and vision of UCYC.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Careful attention to detail and ability to delegate as needed
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently within the scope of the assignment.
  • Manages time and prioritizes duties effectively
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
  • Ability to make tough decisions and a willingness to engage in healthy conflict amongst the team
  • A teachable spirit and a desire to learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Be current on food service trends and safety standards
  • Maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation of dining facility, keeping up to all codes
  • Organize the kitchen, including walk-ins, to ensure that FIFO is being implemented properly
  • Communicate with staff about camp program schedules and any dietary needs
  • Check in food delivery orders
  • Deliver meals on time
  • Ensure staff are properly trained in the scope of their role
  • Work shifts as needed in the dining hall and/or kitchen
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support vision and direction of UCYC and the Lead Team
  • Participate in "all staff" events at each level
  • Uphold UCYC Core Values: Hungry, Humble, Smart
  • Ensure that UCYC's standard of service is being met through the dining experience
  • Align with the vision, and values of UCYC and be committed to doing camp no harm
  • Growing in your personal relationship with Christ
  • Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of UCYC employees as defined by the employee handbook
