About The Position

We are hiring a casual Dining Assistant / Dietary Aide to pick up on 2nd shift to provide healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Buffalo, NY (located near Cheektowaga, on Doat Street and Pine Ridge). The salary range for this position is $15.40 - $18.73. Wage will be determined based on factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity. General Summary: The Dining Assistant prepares, serves, and delivers food within the convent according to established policies and procedures. This position is responsible for cleaning the food service areas and equipment. The Dining Assistant ensures proper storage of food and other dining supplies. Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of food service or restaurant experience (working in a commercial or institutional food service environment is a PLUS).
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, hospital or other healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
  • SERV Safe certification preferred.
