Responsible for communications between the nursing units and Dietetic Services regarding patient menus, diet changes, tray delivery and general patient services. Assesses patient’s ability to utilize meal ordering system and ensures service accuracy. Adheres to standards related to food quality and service excellence. Develops menu tallies for food production, and is responsible for NPO and tube feeding protocol monitoring. Must respond accurately and efficiently to physician diet order changes by supplying patients with menu that appropriately corresponds to diet order. Maintains critical communication with dietitians and department management regarding patient concerns and demonstrates high level of patient service/satisfaction. Performs computer-related activities as required. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
