Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a 1st shift Dimensional Inspector. Days/hours are Monday - Friday; 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. This site employs 158. Pratt & Whitney PSD provides the aviation industry with capabilities for specialized repair of gas turbine engine cases and components. Dimensional Inspection is responsible for processing and inspecting a large variety of engine cases to determine and verify conformance using gages and other measuring equipment. Inspector will ensure conformance with specifications using prints, work instructions and/or layouts.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience using scribes, verniers, calipers, height gages, depth gages, micrometers and indicators.
  • Previous experience with SAP
  • Previous experience with MS Office Products

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection as part of receiving, in-process and final.
  • Performing work using Calibrated Gauges, Calipers, Micrometers, Computer, Precision measuring instruments, Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Basic hand tools.
  • Ability to read and follow directions.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Able to pass standard inspection certification tests and operate required equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
