About The Position

The Dimensional Inspector position is an on-site direct hire opportunity with one of our clients in the Latrobe PA area. You will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections on product in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1 year quality inspection, machining, manufacturing experience.
• Able to stand for an extended period of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, able to pass a visual acuity test.
• Knowledge of testing and precision measuring equipment.
• Previous experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Knowledge of inspection standards such as ASME or ISO.
• Previous experience with a Coordinating Measuring Machine.

Responsibilities

• Uses precision measuring equipment to verify that all products are manufactured to customer order specifications and quality standards.
• Embraces and participates in safety culture by conforming and following all safety rules, production, and quality directives.
• Reports any incidents that have occurred and participates in investigations, as required (i.e. safety, spills, accidents, outages, productivity/workflow).
• Seeks assistance from Inspection Supervisor when unsure of procedure or when errors occur.
• Works cohesively and respectfully with all employees, contractors, or interns.
• Properly and legibly documents completed work and nonconformances as required by applicable quality systems and regulations.
• Works in a team-based environment and has a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
