About The Position

The Dim Sum Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting traditional and modern dim sum items with consistency, precision, and high quality. This role requires strong technical skills in dumpling preparation, dough handling, steaming, frying, and plating, while maintaining food safety and kitchen standards.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1-year of wok-cooking experience.
  • Must be able to wok-cook and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Candidates must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity and knowledge of Asian cuisine and ingredients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of dim sum items including dumplings, buns, rolls, and small plates according to established recipes
  • Execute dough preparation, filling production, folding, shaping, steaming, frying, and plating
  • Ensure consistency, portion control, and quality standards are met for all dim sum items
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
  • Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients (FIFO)
  • Assist with prep, inventory, and minimizing food waste
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak period.
  • Report equipment issues or product shortages to management
  • Follow all company policies and kitchen SOPs
