  • Collaborate directly on the factory floor with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify inefficiencies and uncover opportunities for digitalization or automation.
  • Design, customize, and deploy user-centric digital applications in Mendix, integrating seamlessly with SQL databases and factory systems.
  • Implement and optimize Power BI data models and dashboards, transforming production data into actionable insights for both operations and management.
  • Develop secure, reliable integrations between shop-floor equipment (including Siemens PLCs) and IT platforms using industry protocols (e.g., MQTT, NATS).
  • Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate digital tools, responding quickly to end-user feedback within manufacturing and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues onsite, working closely with production teams to minimize disruption and maximize the adoption of solutions.
  • Collect and analyze factory data to identify trends and root causes, providing data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and scripts for automation, reporting, and connectivity (Mendix, SQL, MQTT/NATS, PLCs).
  • Work collaboratively with OT/IT, controls, and automation teams to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and ready for production deployment.
  • Deliver training and hands-on support to operators and technicians adopting new digital tools and dashboards.
  • Stay current with emerging digital manufacturing technologies, proactively suggesting and implementing practical applications appropriate for the factory environment.
  • Thoroughly document technical solutions, workflows, and lessons learned to facilitate knowledge sharing and support future scalability of digital initiatives.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders—including operators, team leads, and supervisors—to gather feedback and address operational challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics and Modeling, or Software Engineering
  • Advanced experience in programming and application development using Mendix
  • Proficiency in SQL, including query development, optimization, and data modeling
  • Working knowledge of messaging protocols such as NATS and MQTT
  • Willingness to learn—or prior experience with—Siemens PLC technology (S7/TIA Portal, with hardware/software configuration preferred)
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization using Power BI
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
