About The Position

The Digital Workflow Consultant will lead the consulting division at 8&9 Consulting, focusing on building efficient, effective, and automated digital workflows for dental restorations. This role involves applying expertise gained from over 5 years in the dental CAD/CAM software industry to design and implement cutting-edge digital systems for dental labs, medical device manufacturers, and DSO groups globally. The consultant will oversee the deployment of systems, train client teams, and manage change initiatives while leading a team of specialists.

Requirements

• 5+ years working for a CAD/CAM technology company, software platform, or digital dental manufacturer
• Deep hands-on knowledge of production systems in commercial dental labs
• Strong understanding of how to integrate hardware, software, and people into one cohesive manufacturing workflow
• Leadership-ready, capable of managing complex consulting projects and building a team beneath you
• Analytical, execution-oriented, and highly respected by dental lab clients
• Willing to travel as needed (U.S. and international)

Responsibilities

• Act as a consulting expert to dental labs, DSOs, and medical device manufacturers
• Design and optimize complete digital manufacturing workflows for fixed, removable, implant, and custom restorations
• Work with all major CAD/CAM systems (3Shape, exocad), mills (Roland, Ivoclar, Argen), 3D printers (Asiga, Carbon, NextDent), intraoral scanners (TRIOS, iTero, Medit), and model scanners
• Implement and refine lab software systems (Labtrac, MagicTouch, DDX) for seamless work ticket and case routing
• Define and monitor digital KPIs such as throughput, uptime, turnaround time, and rework rates
• Oversee the successful deployment of systems, training of client teams, and change management initiatives
• Lead a team of digital consultants and serve as the strategic head of the division
• Travel as needed to client sites for implementation, evaluation, and operational tuning
