About The Position

Acme Tools is looking for a creative genius with a passion for digital design to join their innovative, fast-growing eCommerce team as a Digital and Web Designer. The role involves building digital brand awareness for both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce platforms, creating and executing the look and feel of digital media across all devices, and collaborating with various departments to create design solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to think outside the box while maintaining brand consistency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Design or related field or equivalent working experience.
• Knowledge and experience designing across multiple media and platforms.
• Understanding of branding, style guidelines and following style restrictions.
• Clean design sense.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative.
• Excellent communication, planning, time management, and follow-through skills.
• Natural visual thinker ready to grow and take direction from creative leadership.

Nice To Haves

• 2 + years of experience in modern web design such as responsive design, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Outstanding creative portfolio demonstrating conceptual and design skills with an eye for typography, composition, layout, color, and pixel-level attention to detail.
• Ability to select or modify existing photography or stock images that enhance design and brand.
• Previous experience designing for an e-commerce website; including email, social media, and display advertising marketing.

Responsibilities

• Creating, executing, and supporting the look and feel of our digital media across all devices.
• Collaborating with various departments to create design solutions for email, web, and mobile.
• Working closely with web developers to ensure all designs function within the technical requirements.
• Updating website content, utilizing optimization tools such as SEO, alt tags, and content, and producing attractive visual art that appeals to Acme Tools’ customers.
• Creating and presenting multiple creative solutions that show thoughtful approaches to strategy and marketing objectives.
• Reinforcing the brand look and feel across different platforms and channels.
• Maintaining design documentation, style guides, and specifications.
• Rolling with the punches with whatever other design task comes your way.
