We are seeking a Digital Transformation Specialist to concentrate our efforts in optimizing operations / processes within our new Charlotte Power Transformer Retrofit and Refurbishment Factory. This role will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across various business functions and areas, with a specific focus on the effective management and utilization of digital tools such as SAP, MES, and other relevant systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in leveraging these technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic initiatives. This role will be based at our new factory in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, and will initially coincide with the factory's construction. During this phase, we will focus on developing our processes, refining our offerings, and collaborating closely with a high-performance team. This will involve all aspects of the commercial setup to ensure we are well-prepared to meet the needs of our customers effectively when factory operations start.

  • Define and execute a comprehensive roadmap aligned with the company's strategic goals, identifying key areas for transformation and technological integration.
  • Implementing digital solutions for the entire Business Area, aligned with Clusters, and associated factories worldwide.
  • Conducting comprehensive analyses of processes and requirements and generating, following up, assessing, reporting, and scaling digital use cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the IT infrastructure, trainings and guidelines required to support initiatives, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration.
  • Contributing to the continuous optimization of data, value, and process chains within the Business Area.
  • Successfully completed studies in Engineering, Computer Science, Process Management, or similar fields, with 3+ years of related professional work experience.
  • Extensive experience in automation, IoT, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SAP, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
  • Solid understanding of SAP structures and databases.
  • Experience in implementing digital tools such as Salesforce and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • High affinity for data, processes, and IT structures, as well as strong logical reasoning.
  • Knowledge of data processing skills (such as SQL, ETL, BI, predictive analytics, and machine learning) is also a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence within the manufacturing sector or industrial companies preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • If not local to the Charlotte, NC area, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate.
