Aerospace is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to support digital transformation activities for Aerospace and its customers. This role will provide leadership and advice to a range of government customers seeking assistance with digital transformation efforts, especially technically demanding activities related to the architecting digital engineering (DE) ecosystems across diverse enterprises. Inherent to this job will be opportunities to significantly influence the future of digital capabilities for both the government and the Aerospace Corporation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or other technical discipline.
  • 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering roles, especially related to DE.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering concepts and technologies, especially as practiced and deployed in the DoD.
  • Knowledge of DE ecosystems, cloud technologies, services, custom and COTS Modeling Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) applications.
  • Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

  • Advanced degree in STEM or other technical discipline.
  • 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering roles, especially related to DE.
  • Experience creating a government reference architecture.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale digital transformation projects in or with the DOD.
  • Experience with various DoD acquisition processes.
  • Direct experience with cloud service providers and/or platforms.
  • Effective communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge/experience with specific DOD, NNSA, or civil space digital environments.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and practices.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and ability to foster collaboration across multi-organizational teams.
  • Current DoD TS and SSBI/SCI Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital transformation strategy(-ies) in support of government customers.
  • Work with stakeholders to create digital transformation strategies and generate plans/roadmaps to realize those strategies.
  • Architect solutions consistent with the strategies and roadmaps, producing various levels and types of architecture to inform implementation.
  • Monitor, assess, and guide the transition from legacy capabilities to desired DE solutions, supporting relevant aspects of the acquisition process.
  • Engage with customer stakeholders to communicate objectives, status, and needs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement executable processes and clear lines of authority/responsibility for managing digital capabilities.
  • Provide expertise that incorporates the needs of Aerospace and government stakeholders to ensure balanced and integrated strategies.
