Digital Systems Expert Position Overview: As a leader in digital manufacturing, you will set direction and provide overall leadership to IT/OT stakeholders, SLT, and production units to design and implement the site’s Digital Manufacturing Strategy, driving continuous improvement. You will execute functional leadership for the CORE and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integration with SAP S4, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and hypercare activities. Your role will involve driving the implementation of CORE satellite systems such as Kinaxis, Yard Logistics, OneMES, and Starlims. You will ensure successful execution of technical, QHSE compliance, and sustainability considerations in the planning, design, and execution of investment projects. Additionally, you will coordinate and assure uniformity in technical standards and operations on site, ensuring compliance with internal and external technical regulatory requirements and good engineering practices. As the site owner and key user for the Kansas City Manufacturing Datamart in the Crop Science Warehouse (CSM), you will drive data governance to ensure data integrity and effective use of analytics tools. You will represent Kansas City and partner with regional and global groups to deliver innovative solutions and ensure strategic alignment. Partnering with the Process Control group, you will identify automation opportunities and drive Information Security Management (ISM) compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar field with 12 years of chemical manufacturing experience or technical support of chemical operations or similar OR Masters with 10+ years of experience.
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of digital systems and exceptional technical skills
  • Superior ability to analyze and troubleshoot operations
  • Proven track record of successful technical implementation of new manufacturing processes
  • Proven ability to work on numerous projects/initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team; excellent collaboration and influence skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Widely recognized security certifications (CISM, CISA, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of security-related technologies such as firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS systems, SIEM systems
  • Proficiency in technology such as OT (process control, data historian, OPC) and IT (databases, code languages, web frameworks, networks)
  • Experience in working with SAP and proficiency with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP)
  • Knowledgeable of RCRA hazardous waste regulations and related compliance requirements
