Digital Streaming Executive Producer
About The Position
WRIC is on the lookout for a creative and visionary Producer to spearhead the evolution from traditional broadcast to groundbreaking original digital content in our WRIC NOW digital studio. As the Digital Streaming Executive Producer, you'll take the reins on exciting projects, crafting innovative programming that captures the attention of our audience. Your role will include producing, directing, and hosting captivating video content designed to engage viewers across our website, news app, and social media platforms. Requirements
- Degree in journalism with experience in streaming video
- Proficiency in OBS Studio and Premiere Pro, with live TV production knowledge
- Portfolio of live, published web samples and/or print work.
- Strong interest in local news, storytelling, and growing You Tube audiences
- Excellent editorial judgement, communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with SEO and social media content strategies
- Comfortable being on camera
Responsibilities
- Producing, directing, editing and posting WRIC NOW video content via OBS Studio and Premiere Pro
- Digital host for some WRIC NOW content, live -hosted video in both unedited and breaking news formats
- Oversees daily production recording schedule for WRIC's OBS Studio
- Assist reporters and anchors in creating engaging, accurate content that connects with new audiences.
- Help gather information, b-roll and visual elements for various OBS streams
- Schedule WRIC NOW/WRIC+ Programming
- Desire to experiment and innovate in an evolving digital space while maintaining journalistic principles
- Monitor audience analytics to refire strategies and optimize video performance
- Other duties as assigned
