There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
As a Digital Signal Processing Engineer in the Sensors team at SpaceX, you will play a crucial role in the design, testing, and manufacturing of high-performance electronic sensors for advanced launch vehicles and spacecraft. This position involves the end-to-end development of application-specific sensor products that support critical operations, systems, and control loops, including propulsion, guidance, navigation, control, and environmental systems. You will be responsible for developing and integrating digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms that facilitate communication between our launch vehicles and spacecraft from the ground. Your work will involve architecting and developing novel algorithms and digital signal processing schemes tailored for sensors. You will also be tasked with developing flight-critical control algorithms for these sensors and our vehicles, ensuring that they are robust and reliable. Implementing these control algorithms in Python or a similar scripting language will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with completing validation testing on the developed algorithms and sensor hardware. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and efficiency of SpaceX's missions, as the sensors you help develop will be integral to the operation of our cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, with experience in developing algorithms that can handle and extract information from large datasets, such as image processing. You will be expected to collaborate closely with other engineers and teams to ensure that the sensor systems meet the high standards required for space missions.
