About the Role As a Digital Reporter, you'll be responsible for capturing and preserving verbatim records of depositions and other judicial proceedings. Whether in-person or remote, you'll use specialized recording software and hardware to produce high-quality audio/video documentation. You’ll also administer oaths, create detailed annotations for transcription, and ensure smooth and professional proceedings.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
  • Familiarity with court procedures, legal terminology, and digital recording technology is preferred
  • Ability to obtain a Notary Public license and AAERT's Certified Electronic Reporter (CER) certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and touch typing (minimum 60 wpm with accuracy)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a national criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in legal studies, communications, or audio/visual technology is a plus
  • Self-motivated, professional demeanor, and adaptability to work in various environments
