About The Position
The Digital Reporter serves as an officer of the court, responsible for the audio capture, control of the proceedings, and preservation of the verbatim record in selected-type depositions and other judicial proceedings in approved jurisdictions. This role involves using audio equipment and specialized recording software provided by Esquire Deposition Solutions. The company offers comprehensive training necessary for the position, ensuring that all Digital Reporters are well-prepared to fulfill their duties effectively. In this position, the Digital Reporter will capture audio of legal proceedings both in person and remotely, utilizing advanced audio technology. Preparation for each assignment is crucial, which includes building job worksheets, reviewing case information, and ensuring all necessary equipment is set up according to job specifications. The Digital Reporter will also administer oaths, maintain control of the proceedings, and create detailed annotations of essential testimony for future reference. The role requires a commitment to producing high-quality audio and video recordings, ensuring that all exhibits are secured, and that proper backups of all files are performed. The Digital Reporter must maintain a professional demeanor while working independently and in an office environment, and will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned. This position is integral to the legal process, ensuring that accurate records are maintained for all proceedings.
