The Digital Reporter Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by completing essential tasks within ONC’s Marketing department, specifically on the Social Media team. This intern’s role will play a vital part in delivering timely news updates and topic breakdowns on our social media platforms. The intern will be responsible for effectively implementing AI in an ethical manner. Topics include those in the political, news media and journalism arenas. The Reporter, Digital Media intern will also conduct on-the-street interviews for our social media platforms. This intern will be an impartial representative of ONC, fostering dialogue and informed discussions that can contribute to a deeper understanding of critical issues in today’s society. This intern will work closely with the Social Media team lead, the Director of Marketing, the CEO and the COO, while also working independently. The Reporter, Digital Intern must be comfortable on camera including having their video content posted to our social media platforms and website. This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. This intern must commit to at least the end of the Summer semester (August 31st, 2025). However, many people choose to extend their internship past the amount of time they initially committed to, provided their performance meets the required standards.
