About The Position

As part of Komatsu's North American Customer Solutions team under the Digital Office business unit, the Digital Region Marketing Manager will have responsibilities to drive the utilization and customer adoption of jobsite enhancing solutions which complement Komatsu's core machine products. This position will be focused on solution promotion and customer presentations to drive market success of Komatsu's strategic My Komatsu, Smart Construction, and complementing digital initiatives. This is a Chicago-based position requiring travel 20-30% of the time for collaboration with end use customers, distribution, and other Komatsu teams. The position reports to the Sr. Manager, Customer Solutions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capability selling and promoting digital solutions, software, hardware in the construction, quarry, mining industries.
  • University degree (B.S./B.A.) in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineer, or Land Surveying and/or extensive experience (3+ years) with digital solutions & positioning technology in the target industries of construction, quarry, mining highly preferred.
  • Understanding of earthmoving / construction jobsite operations, business practices, and software / technology utilization very beneficial.
  • Familiarity with fleet management / construction software (HCSS, B2W, Autodesk, Procore) and 3D GPS machine control technology (Topcon, Trimble, Leica) valued significantly.
  • Capability to understand complex customer operations, envision opportunities & communicate new ways to overcome old problems through use of digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist greater business unit in all activities to secure 20%+ of incremental customer adoption for solutions/hardware.
  • Represent & promote 3 core digital offerings of My Komatsu, the Smart Construction solutions portfolio, & Komatsu's intelligent machine control line of factory 3DMC equipment.
  • Drive adoption of My Komatsu, Smart Construction solutions, & intelligent machine control equipment to digitally transform our customer's operations.
  • Support customer outreach opportunities in-person and remotely to successfully introduce and demonstrate value of adopting targeted solutions.
  • Collaborate with select distribution and region teams to guide/assist their market approaches and help mentor up their capabilities in effectively promoting Smart Construction solutions & intelligent machine control equipment.
  • Become proficient in the use of the actual solution portfolio and capable of relating core functions to customer operations.
  • Work in partnership and communicate with diverse functions across other teams at Komatsu, distribution, and partner solution providers.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $94,480 - $118,100, considering experience and location.
