About The Position

Bethany Press prints and binds books for publishers and ministries, and is in the process of creating a state-of-the-art digital book production line. You are a leader and an excellent communicator, able to convey clear and concise information and updates to co-workers and leadership. You can adapt to changing workflows and production methods. You are self-motivated and self-managed, but humble and willing to ask for assistance when needed. Ideally, you have experience operating commercial-grade digital inkjet printers and associated software.

Requirements

Able to work 40 hours, and willingly work overtime as necessary.
Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision plus excellent color perception.
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for entire production shift plus crouch, crawl, pull, reach, and endure repetitive motions

Ideally, you have experience operating commercial-grade digital inkjet printers and associated software.

Responsibilities

Operation of all digital equipment in a high-volume digital print & bind environment.
Set up equipment by adjusting controls to accommodate job specifications.
Perform general maintenance of all machines in the digital print area.
Constantly monitor quality and productivity of finished products to meet standards.
Assist in training and cross-training of new operators and helpers.
Be thoroughly familiar with all areas of job finishing, including perfect binding.
Process jobs using digital workflow software.
