We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar's Global Finance Strategy Division for a Digital Product Owner. In this role, you will be an essential partner to the Leaders of Global Finance Strategy, Data and Advanced Analytics within Caterpillar's Corporate Finance. You will support a global Finance transformation team based in the USA and India with responsibilities for Global Finance related to data platform and analytics business solutions.   • Define and communicate the global finance and accounting product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are developed first.
  • Act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, gathering and interpreting requirements.
  • Elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements.
  • Collect, identify, analyze and interpret Finance and Accounting data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Implement user-centered design methodologies to enhance user satisfaction and product usability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use analytics to inform product decisions and improvements.
  • Work within agile frameworks, facilitating smooth and efficient development cycles.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
  • Champion and support a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Deliver lean projects to further improve the efficiency of Global Finance program management reporting processes by utilizing digital tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in information systems, STEM, Finance or similar related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Finance and Accounting domain to perform business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in SQL to analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights that support business decisions.
  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of effective communication and collaboration concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of software change request management.
  • Knowledge of software engineering.
  • Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems.
  • Knowledge of water fall and Agile methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product.
  • Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques.
  • Previous experience in delivering Finance and Accounting data solutions.
  • Progressive Project Management experience, including ability to strategize, implement and maintain project initiative.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis.
  • Collaboration experience with Data Product, Architecture, Data Science, and Engineering teams in both USA and Offshore environment.
  • Intermediate understanding of SQL concepts and professional experience with database management (SQL Server and Snowflake) and data reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau etc.).
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
