As a Digital Producer, you will be a leader in the newsroom, responsible for developing high-quality content that adheres to the highest journalistic standards while providing a rich experience for our viewers. You will be a storyteller who is deeply connected to the community and excels in social listening, ensuring that our content resonates with our audience wherever they are and on whatever device they are using. In this position, you will adopt an audience-first approach to producing and sharing content across all platforms, including the DC News Now app. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with other content creators, including broadcast producers, photojournalists, and reporters, to ensure a seamless flow of information. Your role will involve producing engaging storytelling through various formats such as digital articles, videos, social media posts, push alerts, live streams, and interactive elements. You will also be responsible for monitoring social media trends and reporting findings to the newsroom, ensuring that we are urgently and accurately reporting news as it happens. Your expertise in digital content production will be crucial in generating web traffic through Search Engine Optimization best practices, website management, and effective use of social media. You will assist reporters and anchors in creating native social content and implement best practices across all digital and social media platforms, upholding journalistic integrity and the DC News Now brand.
