About The Position
CBS News is hiring a digital producer to help with our dayside and weekend coverage! This role will be responsible for writing video headlines and descriptions, writing articles for CBSNews.com and responding quickly to breaking news, crafting push alerts, pitching to partners and running YouTube live streams. The ideal candidate is a skilled video content creator who's comfortable making quick turn-around videos, pitching creative story ideas and meeting deadlines. They should have strong editorial judgement and feel comfortable making real-time decisions and coordinating across departments when needed. They should also have a strong understanding of SEO, using keyword research tools and crafting clickable headlines. The schedule for this role is from Saturday through Wednesday, 7am to 3pm ET. It is currently a hybrid position with at least 2 days/week in office required at present, but subject to change. You may work some holidays and shift your schedule as needed.
