About The Position

The Digital Printing Press Operator II on the 2nd shift plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining advanced digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This position ensures that production schedules are met efficiently while adhering to strict quality standards and safety protocols. The operator will be responsible for setting up the press, monitoring print runs, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance to minimize downtime. Collaboration with quality control and maintenance teams is essential to optimize workflow and maintain consistent output. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the company’s ability to deliver precise and timely printed products to clients, supporting overall business success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience operating digital printing presses or similar manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or formal training in digital printing technology or press operation.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with shift work, particularly 2nd shift.
  • Familiarity with color management and print quality control processes.
  • Basic computer skills for operating digital press interfaces and logging production data.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate digital printing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Monitor printing operations continuously to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues promptly to minimize production delays.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including job logs, material usage, and quality control documentation.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and quality assurance teams to address any production or quality concerns.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring less experienced operators as needed.
