About The Position

Viracon is hiring a Digital/Silkscreen Printer Operator to join our Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Night Shift (Line Temp 7) team. This role is responsible for operating digital and silkscreen printing equipment to produce high-quality printed glass while ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance with established production schedules. Operators also support furnace operations and collaborate with process engineering to maintain consistent output and quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2-year mechanical/technical education preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance, flexibility for overtime, and willingness to adjust to shifting work demands.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and use basic math for measurements.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with power and hand tools; computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to train peers and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year mechanical/technical education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate digital printers, silkscreen equipment, and heat-treating furnaces according to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure printed glass meets quality and visual specifications while minimizing downtime.
  • Perform quick setup and teardown procedures for printing jobs.
  • Maintain ink supplies and equipment cleanliness, ensuring compliance with EPA and PCA requirements.
  • Provide direction to support staff and assist with training new team members.
  • Complete required daily documentation and ensure effective shift-to-shift handoffs.
  • Assist with related production tasks such as glass loading and seaming as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling of solvents, paints, and waste materials.
