Digital Print Technician
About The Position
SCI is an American-based manufacturing company recognized as one of the nation’s leading suppliers of high-quality custom commercial and hospitality millwork, furniture and graphics. Position Overview The Print Technician will be responsible for the printer operations of our large format Digital Printer and Cutter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Running and Maintaining Print equipment and color management, with the ability to fabricate high-quality printed materials. This is a rapidly expanding and growing graphics department with an opportunity for future advancement within the company.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- Previous experience in digital printing is required
- Strong Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth Understanding of Printing Technologies and Color Management
- Creativity, Problem solving & forward-thinking skills
- Ability to Conduct routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Experience with EFI Vutek Large Format Printer and Zund Cutting Technology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate and Maintain High Quality, Wide Format, Digital Printing Equipment.
- Follow production schedules to ensure deadlines are met
- Review Job Orders to ensure the right material is on-hand
- Ability to Perform vinyl prep tasks such as weeding, masking, and mounting graphics to substrates like foam board, acrylic, and coroplast.
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
