About The Position

The Digital Print Operator will be responsible for the day to day operation of all Digital Printers. This role ensures that jobs print on time and with the highest quality, adhering to established ISO quality procedures. Key responsibilities include operating various types of digital and continuous feed printers, troubleshooting issues, following ISO work instructions, and managing printed materials from opening stock to routing and stacking. The operator is also responsible for inventorying printer room consumables, maintaining a clean and uncluttered print area, logging all print jobs, and operating a manual pallet jack.

Requirements

• Must have good mechanical aptitude for clearing jams and other routine maintenance
• Computer aptitude required
• Ability to work in a deadline oriented environment
• Ability to maintain high quality standards under time pressure
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of printer experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardizes situations

• Familiar or experience with color management or color match

Responsibilities

• Operation of all types of Digital Printers
• Operation of Continuous Feed printers
• Ability to work with and explain issues to technicians
• Ability to follow all ISO work instructions
• Opening of stock for ongoing print work
• QC of all printed material
• Handling of all printed material (routing, stacking, etc.)
• Inventory of all printer room consumables
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of all Digital Printers
• Keeping print area clean and uncluttered at all times
• Logging of all print jobs in Digital Print Log
• Operate manual pallet jack
• Other duties may be assigned
