About The Position

High-Speed Printers - Operate one color and multi-color high-speed digital printers to support print production schedule. Prepare and set up machines for operation. Maintain consistent quality of printed material. Maintain proper supplies and set up to maximize full production capacity of printers. Consult with vendors regarding selection and testing of paper and/or equipment. Order and maintain inventory of printing supplies. Manage production files and documentation for jobs within various department systems. Departmental Support - Perform bindery work including operating machinery such as cutter, drilling machine, shrink-wrap machine, collator, paper folder, binding equipment and other machinery related to the print shop bindery. Trim, collate, shrink wrap, and prep materials for internal and external shipping. Assemble service manuals and other material requiring assembly. Organize print jobs to ensure production deadlines are met. Cross train in other areas as needed including Fulfillment Services. Support the set up and maintenance of standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, along with at least 2 years’ related experience
  • Job requires employee to drive a lift truck
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a commercial printing operation strongly preferred
  • Meticulous eye for color accuracy.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task running multiple jobs simultaneously on different machines.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
